Pack Meetings

The pack meeting is a monthly gathering of all the cub scouts along with the leaders and families. The pack meeting allows the boys to interact with other cub scouts older and younger who also live in the neighborhood. A pack meeting usually is run as follows:

• Opening flag ceremony

• Skits, song, and jokes

• Den demonstrations

• Recognition & awards

• Announcements

• Games

• Closing & snacks

Each pack meeting is held together by the monthly theme selected well in advance. Wherever possible, monthly den activities tie in to the monthly theme too. The theme is timely (e.g. camping in the summer or holidays in December) and helps tie the entire month's activities together.

Cub Scout pack meetings are family events. The entire family is encouraged to attend the pack meetings and visit with each other. This is also a great time to bring visitors and other boys who may be interested in joining cub scouts.
